The Velocity program is designed to accelerate growth for startups that are already generating recurring revenue and preparing to scale. These companies are on the cusp of major expansion, gearing up to refine their operations, strengthen their business models, and become investment-ready. Hivemanager is massage therapy management software to empower massage therapy clinics to focus on client care by simplifying operations and delivering reliable tools and guidance, ensuring each client’s journey is meaningful and seamless.


Institute of Child Psychology

Team: Bernard Johnson, Tania Johnson, Tammy Schamuhn

Institute of Child Psychology is an app-based platform that empowers caregivers with evidence-based insights and tools to support children's emotional well-being.


iClassifier

Team: Emran Hamzehnezhadabkenari, Reza Sabbagh (founder), Amir Rahvar

iClassifier uses AI to monitor dairy cow health assessment by providing objective, data-driven insights, through image analysis hardware and software.


Archirit Inc.

Team: Junlin (Alex) Shao

Archirit Inc. Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) hardware and SaaS platform in the oil and gas industry.


Ofraprotein Corporation

Team: Ntube Ngole

Ofraprotein Corporation is a hide dehairing device that allows the cattle industry to create new beef products.

ArmLock

Team: Mark Laurensse, Jazmin Laurensse

Armlock is a medical device that treats tennis elbow.

Zylotex

Team: Lelia Lawson, Wade Chute, Dan King

Zylotex is a platform that utilizes hemp feedstock and additives that creates new textile materials.

TalentTua

Team: Allie Knull, Prakriti Bhattarai

TalentTua is a screening-as-a-service software that allows businesses to build Ideal Candidate Profiles (ICP).

 

About Alberta Catalyzer

Alberta Catalyzer is a merit-based pre-accelerator that offers company support, resources, and coaching to entrepreneurs aiming to launch and grow their tech-enabled companies, preparing them for advancement to the scale-up and acceleration stages.

Launched in 2022, Alberta Catalyzer is developed and delivered by Platform Calgary and Edmonton Unlimited, with support from partners and organizations across the Alberta Innovation Network.

Alberta Catalyzer is a part of the Alberta Scaleup and Growth Accelerator Program (Scaleup GAP), led by Alberta Innovates. The consortium, which also includes Technology and Innovation, Edmonton Unlimited, the Opportunity Calgary Investment Fund and Prairies Economic Development Canada (PrairiesCan), allocated $35 million over three years to retain business accelerators. It’s part of an overall government goal to help create 20,000 jobs and increase technology firm revenue to $5 billion by 2030. 

Alberta Catalyzer is open to ALL entrepreneurs launching and growing a tech-enabled company in Alberta – which includes the development of a new solution, product or process that has the potential to improve or advance the industry with commercial viability.
