Leveraging expertise in digital transformation, the company focuses on collecting, processing, and analyzing data to develop intelligent platforms that enhance companies' productivity. Solutions are delivered through SaaS cloud platforms, prioritizing convenience and security for clients' companies.

DecisionHub

Founder: Greg Maxin

DecisionHub serves as a collaborative decision-making platform designed for various applications. It is a comprehensive application review platform, catering to organizations that engage in application collection and decision-making processes. Users leverage the software to minimize bias in decision-making, streamline the decision-making timeline for all stakeholders, and ultimately arrive at more well-informed decisions.

Egistix

Founder: Jason Sawchuk

The company is based in Calgary and specializes in providing energy trading and risk management (ETRM) software to oil and gas companies. Egistix products are used to capture and manage wholesale energy transactions from execution to settlement, reporting market and credit exposures for commodities.

One Dragon Technology

Founder: Tina Mao

Leo Charter Services offers customizable, affordable, and reliable ground passenger transportation across Canada, operated by experienced drivers. Their services range from pick-up & drop-off, hourly charters, day packages to multi-day out-of-town trips, including customized contract services. Leo Charter Services specializes Travel & Tourism, Weddings & Events, Corporate, Education, Leisure & Entertainment, Community, Sports, and Government.

Low End Nation

Founder: Cameron Dougall

Low End Nation is an online bass guitar learning and educational platform offering personalized bass guitar lessons, free tutorials, news, gear reviews, and interviews. In 2024, the Low End Nation Mobile App will be launched, enabling subscribers to interact with a network of bass guitar and drummer discographies.

WizDrop

Founders: Pouria Shahbazi

WizDrop is an all-in-one study platform featuring an AI assistant, delivering personalized educational experiences tailored to individual needs. It prioritizes comprehension over grades and serves as a semester-long companion for students.

Pocket Finance

Founders: Sheldon Brow, Afif Jawad

Pocket Finance, a FinTech platform, saves time for clients and advisors by streamlining data collection and analysis. It enables real-time identification of actionable sales opportunities and facilitates daily client engagement outside of strategic planning meetings. These features enhance efficiency, drive revenue growth, and improve client retention.

TheLocal.ai

Founder: Sandeep Reddy Anumula

Thelocal.ai is an AI platform tailored for local businesses, offering a Unified Digital Toolset: a mobile app with a simple interface for launching, running, and growing local businesses. Additionally, the AI Copilot feature serves as a virtual co-founder, managing tasks around the clock.

 

About Alberta Catalyzer

Alberta Catalyzer is a merit-based pre-accelerator that offers company support, resources, and coaching to entrepreneurs aiming to launch and grow their tech-enabled companies, preparing them for advancement to the scale-up and acceleration stages.

Launched in 2022, Alberta Catalyzer is developed and delivered by Platform Calgary and Edmonton Unlimited, with support from partners and organizations across the Alberta Innovation Network.

Alberta Catalyzer is a part of the Alberta Scaleup and Growth Accelerator Program (Scaleup GAP), led by Alberta Innovates. The consortium, which also includes Technology and Innovation, Edmonton Unlimited, the Opportunity Calgary Investment Fund and Prairies Economic Development Canada (PrairiesCan), allocated $35 million over three years to retain business accelerators. It’s part of an overall government goal to help create 20,000 jobs and increase technology firm revenue to $5 billion by 2030. 

Alberta Catalyzer is open to ALL entrepreneurs launching and growing a tech-enabled company in Alberta – which includes the development of a new solution, product or process that has the potential to improve or advance the industry with commercial viability.
