EarthMMO is an Augmented Reality Massively Mulitplayer Online Role Playing Game, think Pokémon Go meets World of Warcraft. Players are able to group up with their friends in an adventuring party, and go slay dragons, goblins, etc and quest together in the real world. We will also have multiple real-world integrations, such as businesses partnering with us to perform in-game services, and NFC tags we can place in the real-world to act as "treasure chests" containing digital items.

Our team of accomplished energy industry experts have created a next-generation platform that will fix today's broken renewable energy business models, making net-zero by 2050 not only feasible, but also profitable.

Optave Ai Solutions Inc.

Optave offers AI-powered customer support software for companies that enables them to provide a high-quality service that is at the same time faster, and more cost-effective than current alternatives. Optave focus is to utilize AI not just for conversational interactions but to enhance the entire problem-resolution process. We’re enabling a future where AI identifies problems, supervises agents in real-time, generates tasks, navigates different systems, collaborates with humans, and even proactively addresses issues before the user recognizes them automatically implementing fixes.

PartyLabz

PartyLabz is an event management solution where we try to save people’s time by automating event coordination tasks. Our SaaS platform enables customers to create their stunning mobile-friendly event websites using our predefined features such as polls, signups, and Secret Santa. Hosts can create their guest list, send invitations via email or text, collect RSVPs and see the result on one convenient page.

Passingon Funeral Services Inc.

Passingon is an online Funeral Network that aims to assist bereaved individuals through the funeral process, allowing them to compare and filter the best funeral homes for their specific needs. It also allows them access to a user-friendly network full of helpful resources, listings of vendors who provide exclusive Passingon Discounts; and more.

Plus 5XP

Co-Founders: Peter Croubalian & Winston Wang

Stage: Pre-Seed

Plus 5 XP offers career coaching to academic institutions, where we increase their employability metrics - the most important metric in rankings. This in turn increases their attractiveness to students and leads to an increase in revenue. They have also added an edtech platform to automate the process to create a better customer experience for the students and to reduce overhead costs to career services team by an estimated 40% (estimated by the customer).

Ref Buddy

Founder: Jonah Duckworth

Ref Buddy is a mobile scheduling solution used to assign referees and linesmen to hockey games. We collect game data for every league that signs up and generate stats for each official and build them their own profile. With Ref Buddy, assignors have access to all the information they need in one convenient place, including official profiles, league schedule, and real-time availability updates.

Alberta Catalyzer is a merit-based pre-accelerator that offers company support, resources, and coaching to entrepreneurs aiming to launch and grow their tech-enabled companies, preparing them for advancement to the scale-up and acceleration stages.

Alberta Catalyzer is a part of the Alberta Scaleup and Growth Accelerator Program (Scaleup GAP), led by Alberta Innovates. The consortium, which also includes Technology and Innovation, Edmonton Unlimited, the Opportunity Calgary Investment Fund and Prairies Economic Development Canada (PrairiesCan), allocated $35 million over three years to retain business accelerators. It’s part of an overall government goal to help create 20,000 jobs and increase technology firm revenue to $5 billion by 2030.
